Seismic Retrofit and foundations

Current Construction considers the structural and foundation aspects of construction its absolute specialty and rightly so. We consider safety, strength and attention to detail our priority. Our experienced team has handled a vast variety of structural upgrades, new structural builds, foundation replacements, seismic retrofits and many other types of customized engineering implementation requirements in both the residential and commercial sectors of the industry. Each and every project is handled with the same methodical approach and commitment. We work closely with some of the Bay Area’s best and brightest engineers and have worked towards building open lines of communication and trust wherever we can. We understand how stress and angst that major, or even minor, structural upgrades can impact our clients, which is why we focus on transparency for you the client and guide you through the process, step by step. Whether its your home or work space our ultimate goal is to provide you with a structurally sound, earthquake-ready space that will not only protect if the worst should happen, but also to help you to sleep better at night knowing it’s been done and done right by Current Construction.

A contemporary redwood deck with ascending horizontal fence boards. The deck was constructed from locally sourced western Redwood using substantial 2×6 decking board fixed to joisting with a screw-less system that helps to bring out the beautifully contrasting golden hues of the decking. 2630 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA

2630 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA

2630 Mission is a 7000 sq. ft. commercial-retail build out in the heart of the bustling Mission District of San Francisco. A fire from the adjacent property devastated the building. With the skill and expertise of our team at Current Construction the building underwent extensive structural repair, a complete reconstruction of utilities and then precise finish work. The open plan design gives the space tons of flexibility and the traditional finishes, including Victorian ornamental trim and hardwood oak floors, is a cut above your average San Francisco commercial space. The scope of work was completed on time and to our highest standard of quality.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to work on the CADBM bar. Based on a great design from Nik and Mitra from Deleap Design we were able to transform this hollow Market Street space into a rustic and robust state-of-the-art bartending school. Fishbone backing throughout the back wall, distinctive bar lighting and custom cabinets helped bring this unique project to life. Special thanks to artist Just-Ceppie for his invaluable input on this project. Schools open!!

575 7th st, San francisco

AT 575 7th Street we took on the task of a structural upgrade to a turn-off-the-century 5000 sq. ft. warehouse.

We started by adding moment frames and new footings and then anchored the existing joist to the concrete wall using Simpson hold down and Titen bolts. We also added 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and mezzanine level with conference room.

The building’s new tenants hired us to add a state-of-the-art lab, custom writing walls and cabinets throughout.
